Cedar Veil – Peaceful Forest, Peaceful Mind! There are mornings when we wake up without an alarm clock.
I carry a backpack, no need for a clear destination,
then found myself in the middle of the forest while the mist was still sleeping.
Everything was quiet – not for lack of sound,
but because inside is quiet enough.
Sunlight began to filter through the trees,
a little warmth poured into the cold morning.
That interplay – between cool and warm,
between clear and vague –
just like the way memories come flooding back.
The scent of cedar quietly permeates the air,
like someone you once loved, is no longer present
but still warm in the heart.
Pink pepper is fleeting, slightly spicy at the tip of the nose,
remind us of something old
but still feel nostalgic when remembering.
Roses do not bloom, do not overwhelm,
just lingering in the cool air –
gentle as a sweet romantic gaze
for someone you once silently watched.
Vetiver – the smell of roots, of earth, of things that need not be named.
Cool, fresh, like pure emotions melting into the heart.
No glitter, no show,
just a very light touch…
but enough to calm the heart,
like just put down the burden after long days of hustle and bustle.
Cedar Veil doesn't ask if we're sad or happy.
Just quietly beside –
as our being comforts itself.
No need to carry,
but deep enough, quiet enough, peaceful enough.
Enough to evoke the vast wilderness
of memory,
of memories,
of my own
